The responsible body is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your previously granted consent at any time. Simply send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the time of revocation remains unaffected.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Article 21 GDPR)

If data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this data protection declaration. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims (objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purposes of such advertising; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged violation. This right of complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done if technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the browser’s address line changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion and correction

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to correct, block, or delete this data. You can contact us at any time at the address provided in the legal notice if you have any questions about this or other questions regarding personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time at the address provided in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted while we verify your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted instead of deleted.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, your interests must be weighed against ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – with the exception of its storage – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

3. Data collection on our website

Cookies

We use the “Real Cookie Banner” consent tool to manage the cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and related consents. Details on how “Real Cookie Banner” works can be found at <a href=“https://devowl.io/de/rcb/datenverarbeitung/“ rel=“noreferrer” target=“_blank“>https://devowl.io/de/rcb/datenverarbeitung/</a>.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.

Providing personal data is neither contractually required nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obligated to provide personal data. If you do not provide personal data, we cannot manage your consent.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

  • Browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data will not be merged with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass this data on without your consent.
The data entered into the contact form is therefore processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal notification to us by email is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Inquiry by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry, including all personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not share this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, provided your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us.

The data you send us via contact requests will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular, statutory retention periods—remain unaffected.

The data collected is used solely for statistical analysis and to improve the website. However, the website operator reserves the right to subsequently review the server log files should there be concrete evidence of illegal use.

Comment function

When users leave comments on our website, we save this information, along with the time of their creation and the username previously chosen by the website visitor. This is for our security, as we can be held liable for illegal content on our website, even if it was created by users.

Contact form

If you contact us with any questions via email or contact form, you give us your voluntary consent to contact you. A valid email address is required for this purpose. This will be used to assign your inquiry and subsequently respond to it. Providing additional data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. Once your inquiry has been processed, personal data will be automatically deleted.

Use of Google Maps

This website uses the Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When you use Google Maps, Google also collects, processes, and uses data about visitors’ use of the map features. Further information about data processing by Google can be found in the Google Privacy Policy . There, you can also change your personal data protection settings in the Privacy Center.
Detailed instructions on managing your own data in connection with Google products can be found here .

We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended on this website to include the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure the anonymized collection of IP addresses in compliance with data protection regulations.
For marketing and optimization purposes, products and services from Burda Direkt Services (<a href=”www.burdadirektservices.de” target=”_blank”>www.burdadirektservices.de</a>) are used on this website. Data is collected, processed and stored from which user profiles are created under a pseudonym. Where possible and appropriate, the user profiles are completely anonymized. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the visitor’s internet browser and are used to recognize the internet browser. The data collected, which may also contain personal data, is transmitted to Burda Direkt Services or collected directly by Burda Direkt Services. Burda Direkt Services may use information left behind by visits to the websites to create anonymized user profiles. The data subject’s separate consent will not be used to personally identify the visitor to this website, and it will not be merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym. Any IP addresses collected are anonymized after collection by deleting the last block of numbers.

Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plug-ins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection is established to YouTube servers. This informs YouTube which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your browsing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

Anyone who has deactivated cookies for the Google Ads program will not encounter such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block cookies in your browser.

Further information on data protection at YouTube can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Social Plugins

Our websites use social plugins. You can recognize the plugins by the corresponding logo.

These plugins may send information, which may include personal data, to the service provider and potentially be used by them. We prevent the unconscious and unwanted collection and transmission of data to the service provider through a two-click solution. To activate a desired social plugin, it must first be activated by clicking the corresponding button. Only by activating the plugin will the collection of information and its transmission to the service provider be triggered. We do not collect any personal data ourselves through the social plugins or through their use.

We have no influence on what data an activated plug-in collects and how this data is used by the provider. Currently, it must be assumed that a direct connection to the provider’s services is established, and that at least the IP address and device-related information are collected and used. It is also possible that the service providers attempt to store cookies on the computer used. For information about the specific data collected and how it is used, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective service provider. Note: If you are logged into Facebook at the same time, Facebook can identify you as a visitor to a specific page.

Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to ensure it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, for example, when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
