Countless starting points to give a production with DUNDU symbolism and deep meaning.

Puppetry opens up a wide range of possibilities.
In our international theater productions, the nonverbal language, clear gestures, and versatile interpretation possibilities have helped. The simple conditions of a dark, flat surface with a sound system, low power requirements, no backdrop, and an audience on almost all sides allowed our open-air production to be performed in many city centers: Sharjah, UAE, Fete de Lymieres Lyon (France), Ascona (Italy), Bielsko-Biala (Poland), Fome (Portugal), Wagenhallen (Stuttgart), and Santiago a Mil (Chile).
We were also able to perform indoors at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart or in Ostrava (Czech Republic) with up to 25 actors.
The power of five:
5 players each animate a DUNDU puppet
5 senses with which we perceive, 5 elements that are in everything, 5 continents of the world in which we live.
The interaction of the animators demonstrates our human ability to control a larger organism together. Swarm behavior, complex task distribution, rhythm, and communication through impulses are all addressed here.
The shaping through retina clarifies connections, intersections and the courage to leave gaps.
The transparency as a “glass body” and the hollow body as a vessel for contents, the empty interior provide space even for themes of Far Eastern ZEN.
“A star falls from the sky.
The story tells of
Giants and dwarves.
Life finds a way,
meets you and touches you
in one place,
that you thought you had already forgotten.”
